First up is our Sneak Peek contest for MAKE ME EVEN AND I'LL NEVER GAMBLE AGAIN, hedge fund pioneer Jerrold Fine's debut novel. Fifty readers will have the chance to win an advance copy of the book, which releases on August 14th, and share their comments on it. We've extended the deadline for your entries to Tuesday, May 29th at noon ET. Please note that this will be a Bookreporter.com Bets On selection from Carol Fitzgerald; she loves the voice of this coming-of-age story, set against the backdrop of Wharton and Wall Street.

And on ReadingGroupGuides.com is our "What's Your Book Group Reading This Month?" contest, where three book groups will win 12 paperback copies of COCOA BEACH by Beatriz Williams. The deadline for your entries is Wednesday, June 6th at noon ET.

Fifty readers will have the chance to win an advance copy of the book, which releases on August 14th, and share their comments on it. Carol Fitzgerald has this to say about the book: "I love the voice of the book’s protagonist, Rogers Stout. The story is fast-paced, just like life on the Street. Trust that once you start reading it, you will not want to put it aside. The sharpness of it reminded me a lot of Molly’s Game." The deadline for your entries is Thursday, May 24th at noon ET.

Also, we encourage you to enter our Word of Mouth and Sounding Off on Audio contests for an opportunity to win some fabulous hardcovers and audiobooks. And please be sure to vote in our latest poll about “The Great American Read,” an upcoming series on PBS that will focus on America’s 100 best-loved novels and give viewers a chance to vote for their favorites.

Please keep in mind that you only have until next Monday, May 14th at noon ET to enter our Mother's Day contest. Five readers each will win a prize package that includes 15 great fiction and nonfiction titles we think moms will love.

Our Mother's Day Author Blogs are back for a ninth year! Once again, we are sharing pieces from authors who reminisce about reading books with their moms, or with their own children, and talk about how their moms influenced them to become readers and writers. This year’s contributors are Janelle Brown, Julie Clark, Abby Fabiaschi, Lisa Genova, Karen White, Lisa Wingate and Brianna Wolfson. We are featuring one blog post a day leading up to Mother’s Day weekend. You may want to consider “binge reading” all seven pieces on Mother’s Day!

Finally, we'd like to tell you about a fun survey we're doing with our readers based on “The Great American Read,” a new series premiering on PBS on Tuesday, May 22nd at 8pm ET focusing on the 100 best-loved novels in America. The series will showcase and explore these books, explaining why and how they have touched so many people. We’re curious as to how many of these titles our Bookreporter.com readers have read. So take a look at the list here and check off the ones you have read by May 22nd at noon ET. We’ll share the top picks with you in the May 25th Bookreporter.com Weekly Update newsletter.
