With this blog post,Teen Board member Kate F. takes matchmaking to a whole new level. No, there’s no adorable teen romance here; instead, Kate connects like-minded books and TV shows! So if you’re a TV junkie, find the book that will keep you sane before the next Game of Thrones episode. And if you’ve ripped through the whole The Clique series, see what show has the same level of cute boys, snobby girls and gossip. If you can think of any other good TV/book match-ups, write them in the comments section!

Game of Thrones à THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J. Maas
Game of Thrones, the immensely popular television show on HBO, is full of deceit, action and adventure (not to mention some pretty kick-butt female characters!). Likewise, THRONE OF GLASS by Sarah J. Maas has a multitude of strong female characters, a surplus of action and adventure and plenty of deceit of its own. Add in the fact that both Game of Thrones and THRONE OF GLASS are classified as high-fantasy, and this seems to be a match made in heaven.

The Bachelor à THE SELECTION by Kiera Cass
In The Bachelor, one man has to choose between multiple female candidates to find his perfect match. On the other hand, THE SELECTION by Kiera Cass focuses on America Singer, one of the candidates in the competition for Prince Maxon’s heart. I don’t know about you, but they seem remarkably similar to me!

Doctor Who à RUBY RED by Kerstin Gier
While Doctor Who, the multi-season, multi-actor television show is quite different from RUBY RED --- the novel by Kerstin Gier that was originally published in Germany --- both have one major theme in common: time travel. Sadly however, they don’t use a Tardis to time travel in RUBY RED!

Almost Human à MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza
Both Almost Human and MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza are packed with action and sci-fi elements that make them seem to fly by, whether on the screen or on the page. They are also both full of suspense, which will leave you eager for the next episode/book!

Gossip Girl à The Clique by Lisi Harrison
In Gossip Girl, there are snotty girls, cute boys and lots of gossip. The same is true for The Clique series by Lisi Harrison! Both have those embarrassing, “oh my goodness” moments that leave viewers and readers both cringing and wanting more. Additionally, they both have that fantastic struggling-through-high-school element.

Under the Dome à GONE by Michael Grant
Under the Dome is… well… about people trapped under a dome. GONE by Michael Grant is about kids trapped with no adults under a dome. Need I say more? Obviously both have more to them than that simple analysis, but they are incredibly similar all the same!

Once Upon a Time à BEASTLY by Alex Flinn
Once Upon a Time is a popular television series where characters from our favorite fairy tales exist in the real, modern day world. BEASTLY by Alex Flinn is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast in the present world. While Once Upon a Time focuses on more fairy tale characters than Beastly, the two are a perfect match!
