Teen Board Check-in #5: YALSA 2013 Hub Challenge

Our Teen Board has only been on the job for a month, but they are starting to get things moving. Six of the 23 have agreed to participate in the YALSA 2013 Hub Challenge, which started on February 3rd and will end June 22nd. In order to complete the challenge, each member must read 25 books each (those who want to “conquer” the challenge must read all 83!) and participate in the weekly Saturday update on YALSA. In addition, our Teen Board members will check in every Wednesday to let you all know how they are doing. Sign up for the challenge and follow along!

In this fifth check-in, a few of our Teen Board members update us on their progress.

Shelby H.: This week I have not been able to read even half as much as I had planned. Of course, I was stuck with the flu for the second time this winter. When I wasn't sick, I was able to read THE RUNNING DREAM and I am in the middle of MR. PENUMBRA'S 24-HOUR BOOKSTORE. THE RUNNING DREAM was a great book!  It is probably my favorite one on the list that I have read so far. From what I have read, MR. PENUMBRA'S 24-HOUR BOOKSTORE is getting good too.

Looks like I still have A LOT of reading to do!

Ailiyah A.: So this week, I have already finished the book FRIENDS WITH BOYS and am now starting on THE MISEDUCATION OF CAMERON POST. I don't really want to read THE PREGNANCY PROJECT so I probably won't. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the FRIENDS WITH BOYS book.

Are you participating in the challenge? What are you reading and how did you like those books?
