Six of our Teen Board members have agreed to participate in the YALSA 2013 Hub Challenge, which started on February 3rd and will end June 22nd. In order to complete the challenge, each member must read 25 books each (those who want to “conquer” the challenge must read all 83!) and participate in the weekly Saturday update on YALSA. In addition, our Teen Board members will check in every Wednesday to let you all know how they are doing. Sign up for the challenge and follow along!
In this third check-in, Shelby and Ailiyah fill us in on what books they're on and what's coming up.
Shelby H.: I have been very busy reading this week! Throughout the week I read and completed ONE SHOT AT FOREVER, WONDER, DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: CABIN FEVER, and PROM AND PREJUDICE. I have made great progress this week and are hoping to continue to do so. Some of my friends have even become extremely interested in some of the books I have been reading and have asked to borrow them!
I have recently started and are hoping to finish WHERE'D YOU GO, BERNADETTE soon so I can continue to advance in the Challenge. I would really like to finish at least three more books before Saturday.
Six books down, 77 to go!
Ailiyah A.: I am still on The Epic, completely True Blue, (almost) holy quest of Debbie Sparks. I will soon be moving on to ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL. Sounds funtabulous.
Working on the YALSA Hub Challenge, too? Have you read these books? Comment and tell us what you think!
