If You Ask Me... : Gracie from Seattle, WA and Eliora from Prattville, AL

IfYouAskMe.jpgFans of science fiction, paranormal fantasy and adventure novels need to check out today's If You Ask Me... Q&A, featuring 13-year-old Gracie from Seattle, WA and 14-year-old Eliora from Prattville, AL.  Below, they discuss favorites like The Lord of the Rings, Twilight, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and the Inheritance series.

If you could trade places with any character from a book for a day, who would you be and why?

I think it would be cool to be Annabeth from the Percy Jackson books. You get to be a daughter of a goddess and kick butt at the same time. And you are gorgeous. Not to mention you get to hang with Percy.

What is the last book you read? Would you suggest it to a friend? Why or why not?

The last book I read was I'D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU, BUT THEN I'D HAVE TO KILL YOU by Ally Carter. I would suggest this to a friend because it is a cute and hilarious book. It is a typical story about a boy and a girl except for the part where the girl happens to be undercover as a spy... just a minor setback. It deals with many issues that everyday girls deal with, but it is so different at the same time.

Name three characters from a book that you'd like to invite to your birthday party.

I'd like to invite Edward, Jacob, and Alice from Twilight.

If you had the opportunity to meet any author (dead or alive), who would you choose to meet, and what three questions would you ask him/her?

I'd like to meet Stephanie Meyer and ask her where she gets all these crazy ideas for her books. I know some of them were from a dream, but how did they all flow so well and how did she keep it interesting all the way through?

Tell us about your top three favorite books of all time.

The Lord of the Rings, ERAGON, and Harry Potter.

If you had the opportunity to meet any author (dead or alive), who would you choose to meet, and what three questions would you ask him/her?

J.R.R. Tolkien:

Which book is your favorite?

Which charactor that you written is your favorite?

What religion, if any, did you base this series off of?

What movies have you seen that were based on books? Did you like the book or film version better? Why?

I've seen Eragon which totally sucked. It didn't deserve to be called Eragon. The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter as well. They didn't suck but they were still better books.
