IfYouAskMe.jpgToday we're joined by Amanda from Phoenix, AZ and Nichole Koehler from McCleary, WA.  Check out their answers to the If You Ask Me... Q&A below, where they each talk about their favorite supernatural and fantasy series like The Morganville Vampires, Vampire Academy and The Song of the Lioness.

Amanda from Phoenix, AZ

Do you have a favorite quote from a book? If so, what is it?

"It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting."

-THE ALCHEMIST by Paulo Coelho

Tell us about your top three favorite books of all time.

A FISTFUL OF SKY by Nina Kirki Hoffman

AURALIA'S COLORS by Jeffery Overstreet

EON: Dragoneye Reborn By Alison Goodman

If you had the opportunity to meet any author (dead or alive), who would you choose to meet, and what three questions would you ask him/her?

I would ask Christopher Pike who his favorite author is, if he would consider starting a new series about other mythical creatures other than vampires and faeries, and if he could choose any candy what would be his favorite?

What movies have you seen that were based on books? Did you like the book or film version better? Why?

The BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE book was better than the movie, which I was expecting to follow the book more. It seemed that the only thing the book and the movie had in common was the characters' names. And the movie made the character Gabriel seem like the villain.

Tell us about your favorite book series.

My fave series would have to be The Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce. She lets the main character grow throughout the series into a strong and independent women, letting nothing get in her way whether it be man or beast. Proving girls can be just as strong or even stronger than boys.

If you could trade places with any character from a book for a day, who would you be and why?

Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy because I love her.

What is the last book you read? Would you suggest it to a friend? Why or why not?

FADE OUT by Rachel Caine. I would totally recommend this series to someone else. It's really good.

Name three characters from a book that you'd like to invite to your birthday party.

Rose Hathaway, Shane Collins and Eve Rosser... I have to make it four. Dimitri Belikov.

Tell us about your top three favorite books of all time.

....three?! uhm. Harry Potter. Twilight, Vampire Academy, and Morganville Vampires. Yes, yes, I know I made it four. I''m a cheater.[;

If you had the opportunity to meet any author (dead or alive), who would you choose to meet, and what three questions would you ask him/her?

Richelle Mead:

How did you come up with this world/story?

Why did you insist on only making six books of VA?!

And can I have an autograph? [;

What movies have you seen that were based on books? Did you like the book or film version better? Why?

A ton. And usually, no. I usually like the book a lot better. The only exception will probably be Dear John because I really fine John obnoxious in the book.
