Reader Q&A: Brenna from Chandler, AZ

Posted by webmaster
In today's Reader Q&A, Brenna N. from Chandler, AZ describes what drew her to favorite novels, shares which book she's foisted on just about everyone she knows, and reflects on why she's happy to be living her own life and not that of a fictional character.

If you could trade places with any character from a book for a day, who would you be and why?

I'm sorry, but I like my life just fine. Plus I don't want to live out a story that I already know (where's the fun in that?).
What is the last book you read? Would you suggest it to a friend? Why or why not?

THE BEAUTIFUL BETWEEN -- I've already recommended it to my swim team, all my friends, and basically my entire school.
Tell us about your top three favorite books of all time.

LES MISÈRABLES (the themes of compassion and forgiveness really got me), THE HUNGER GAMES (I really liked the dystopic society), and (there are so many more!) anything by Ally Carter is good (love the way she writes!).

If you had the opportunity to meet any author (dead or alive), who would you choose to meet, and what three questions would you ask him/her?

C. S.Lewis: 1. what inspired you to write? 2. If you were alive now and could see your books turned into movies, how would you react? 3. if you could write another book, what would it be like?

What movies have you seen that were based on books? Did you like the book or film version better? Why?

My Sister's Keeper was good. I liked it, but personally, I usually like the book better than the movie so the movie fell a bit short. A Walk To Remember was amazing in both book and movie form. The Lord of the Rings series in movie form was good in the movie form just because the books were a bit too long for me --- they were still good, but they just took me a while to power through them.

Tell us about your favorite book series.

My favorite book series is a toss up between Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series and The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.
