Jingle All the Way

Debbie Macomber, queen of the holiday romance, brings us yet another delightful story with JINGLE ALL THE WAY.

Everly Lancaster is a successful business executive who built her real-estate company, Easy Home, from the ground up. Working 60 or more hours each week, she is married to her career and has little time for relationships or family. That’s just fine with Everly, because she has always felt out of place as the middle child in a family of five, with a pair of twins on either side.

"As warm and comforting as hot cocoa, JINGLE ALL THE WAY will endear you to its adorable love story. The plot is light and fluffy, but Macomber gives you enough depth and substance to keep you engaged."

Everly’s business partner, Jack Campbell, is worried about her and insists she takes a month-long vacation. After some initial reluctance, she relents and entrusts the planning to her vindictive assistant, Annette. Big mistake. Instead of a luxury beach cruise in Brazil, Annette sends her on a jungle safari trip with no service or access to the internet. Dolled up in fancy dresses that are ill-equipped for jungle treks, she sticks out like a sore thumb among the other passengers, who tend to be older retired adventurers.

Once Everly realizes that this is the opposite of what she envisioned for her vacation, she demands to be taken back, but by then the ship has already set sail. Even the charming Asher Adams, the ship’s naturalist, is unable to convince her that this will be a grand adventure.

When an unfortunate accident has Everly and Asher spending a lot more time together, their relationship slowly deepens. Reluctantly, they find themselves falling for each other. But they come from very different worlds. As the end of the cruise approaches, they must figure out if this will be just a ship romance or if it could be something more.

As warm and comforting as hot cocoa, JINGLE ALL THE WAY will endear you to its adorable love story. The plot is light and fluffy, but Macomber gives you enough depth and substance to keep you engaged. I found myself emotionally invested in Everly and Asher’s relationship, rooting for them to be together.

I also enjoyed watching Everly shed her hard exterior, which she has developed as a business executive. She allows herself to be vulnerable. Even when she opens herself up to Asher, she maintains her personality and doesn’t change to please him. She has complete confidence in herself, which I respect and admire.

JINGLE ALL THE WAY is perfect for those who want to reignite the excitement of Christmas Eve and the warm contentment of a nice Christmas dinner.
