Dashing Through the Snow: A Christmas Novel

Graduate student Ashley Davison has just one wish for Christmas: to spend it with her widowed mother in Seattle. The opportunity comes along just days before the holiday, but to her dismay, there are no flights available. Worse, the ticket agent seems to be putting zero effort into trying to find her a flight, and the man behind her is getting rude. That man is Dashiell Sutherland, a former army intelligence officer who also needs a flight to Seattle and wishes the pretty young woman in front of him would move on so he can get one. When both are denied a seat, they unexpectedly meet up at the rental car agency, where there is only one car left. They reluctantly decide to share it, unaware that Ashley is being tracked by FBI agents who suspect her for terrorist activity.

Romance, humor and action are beautifully entwined in DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW, written by master storyteller Debbie Macomber.

"Lovable characters, fun dialogue, romance and a touch of Christmas festivity make this the perfect book to read during the Christmas season or to give to a mom, sister or friend."

Ashley isn’t sure what to think of her somber driving companion. He’s certainly good-looking, but not exactly the friendly type. All he seems to care about is getting to some job interview. Dash is not thrilled with having to share the car but couldn’t just leave Ashley at the airport, especially when she had no other means of transportation to her mother’s house for Christmas. Anyway, he can’t deny there’s something about her that piques his interest --- something that goes beyond her pretty face.

As Ashley and Dash head north from San Francisco toward Seattle, they are unaware that two FBI agents are questioning the ticket agent they encountered at the airport. She is unable to identify Ashley as the woman in their blurry photo, but that doesn’t stop them from believing that Ashley is the cunning terrorist they have been trying to capture. And the more they track her movements, the more convinced they become that Ashley is planning another attack --- this time with a bomb.

With no reason to suspect they are being followed, Ashley and Dash continue toward their shared destination, cautiously getting to know each other. Feisty, friendly and a bit quirky, Ashley is the polar opposite of Dash, with his military background and serious nature. As they draw closer to Seattle, he finds Ashley unexpectedly breaking down his walls. But will Dash’s newfound feelings for her be strong enough to endure allegations that she’s a suspected terrorist?

Lovable characters, fun dialogue, romance and a touch of Christmas festivity make this the perfect book to read during the Christmas season or to give to a mom, sister or friend. Fans of Debbie Macomber will certainly delight in DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW.
