February 2017

We’re only a little over a month into 2017, and already the world feels topsy-turvy. I mean, it’s February and there’s NO NEW NICHOLAS SPARKS MOVIE. What’s next, no superheroes in July? I can't live like this!

January 2017

Happy New Year, Teenreaders! In honor of the new year, we have compiled a list of new book-to-film adaptations to help you celebrate the start of 2017. In New York, we have already had one snow storm and we knew exactly how to spend it --- watching everything on our Books on Screen list. So start heating up the hot chocolate and get the marshmallows ready!

January 2017

Happy New Year, Books on Screen lovers! There's nothing like the bleak entertainment landscape of January to bring us back to reality after a festive holiday season. The good news is that if you binged all the prestige movies while you were avoiding your family for most of December, there are plenty of great television shows to watch this month, both new and old favorites. In the spirit of staying positive in 2017, let’s focus on those (don’t say it, don’t think it).

December 2016

Oh baby, it's cold outside! Here at Teenreads, we know that you need some great movies to keep the chill at bay, especially over the upcoming winter break. Whether you feel like hitting the theaters or staying in bed with the remote, December has quite a few good options for any book nerd or movie fanatic. If you're a last-minute holiday shopper (like us), there are also some great DVDs releasing this month which will make wonderful stocking stuffers or gifts for friends and family. Or treat yourself and get one as a present for YOU!

December 2016

This month, Books on Screen is truly an embarrassment of riches: two non-Taken Liam Neeson movies, including a years-in-the-making Scorsese pet project; Taraji P. Henson in the frames of my dreams; and Patrick Wilson in --- let’s face it --- pretty much anything. Let’s get down to the details before I get too distracted by what a good title “An Embarrassment of Richards” would be for a sexy calendar.
