Pamela S. Meyers
Biography
Pamela S. Meyers
Pamela S. Meyers, raised in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, in the same area as the fictional Canoga Lake, has told stories most of her life. When she was a child, her characters came from the huge collection of paper dolls that kept her entertained for hours. As a teen, daydreams sparked by the love of reading motivated her. Now, as an adult, armed with prayer, a laptop, and a myriad of ideas, stories flow onto her computer. “I’ve always desired to set a story in the beautiful area of Wisconsin where I grew up,” Pamela says. “As the plot for THYME FOR LOVE emerged, I decided to incorporate the flavor of Lake Geneva and its many nineteenth-century mansions into the fictional Canoga Lake, set a few miles to the east.”
Pamela brings her interest in cooking and tweaking recipes to the story. April’s Chicken George is a recipe Pamela adapted from one passed on to her by a coworker. Pamela has published articles in Today’s Christian Woman, Christian Computing Magazine, Victory in Grace Magazine, Ancestry Magazine, Christian Fiction Blog Alliance Ezine, and the ACFW Ezine, Afictionado. Her true story, Like Son, Like Father, appeared in the compilation book, HIS FOREVER, published by Adams Media. Pamela received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trinity International University, Deerfield IL. In her church, as a sign language interpreter, Pamela interpreted the church service and special concerts for many years, and currently serves in the church’s outreach to the Japanese community. She also facilitates a women’s Bible study. Her author tag, Take a Sentimental Journey, exemplifies her stories, which take her readers to the small towns of the Wisconsin, and sometimes beyond. She resides in Illinois.
