The Christmas Basket

The Christmas Basket
New
York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber has written a
delightful holiday story filled with romance, conflict and lots of
humor.
Noelle McDowell lives in Dallas, but she is headed home to Rose,
Oregon to see her family and celebrate Christmas and her birthday,
which fall on the same day. Home has not been the same since a
summer day ten years ago when she was jilted by her boyfriend, Thom
Sutton. She never had shared her love of Thom with her family
because her mom and Thom's were locked in a feud, so the end of
this relationship was even more difficult.
This Christmas the warring moms are paired together for a holiday
project that will keep the holidays anything but peaceful. At the
same time, Noelle will rediscover Thom and decide to marry
him.
The story is filled with laughs --- my personal favorite part is
when Noellle and Thom's dads reveal that they have been playing
golf all these years taking no stock of how the rest of their
family felt.
If you want to give more than a book, here are some gift
suggestions to pair with this:
a Christmas basket donated to a charity in your friend's name, or a
basket filled with small items your friend might love. Another idea
for this book. If you have a person in your life with whom you have
had a misunderstanding, think about sending this to mend a
fence.
