How to Catch a Prince: The Royal Wedding Series, Book 3

Corina Del Rey has it all.

Well, no, that’s not right. She used to have it all.

Heiress to an enormous fortune. Beauty queen crown. Beloved daughter of her parents. Twin sister to an amazing brother. And even…a handsome prince.

But for the last five years, all Corina has had is grief. The loss of her twin brother during a mission in Afghanistan has fractured her family. And her handsome prince…also gone.

Now, she’s finally attempting to step out of the sorrow and reclaim her life. She has taken a job with a family friend, Gigi Beaumont, who owns and runs The Beaumont Post, an enormous online newspaper. The owner is sure that Corina’s connections will provide amazing celebrity articles and improve the paper’s following at the same time. Gigi is definitely a woman who uses all the contacts she has, all over the world, to improve her paper.

"HOW TO CATCH A PRINCE, the third book in Hauck’s The Royal Wedding Series, is a wonderful stand-alone read. But I imagine that you’ll find Corina and Stephen’s story so captivating that you’ll want to read the other two as well."

Little by little, Corina is returning to what is, for her, a more normal existence. And there’s even a position opening at The Beaumont Post that will take her out of reporting and into editorial work. Since she’s essentially been doing that work since the last editor left, she believes she’s supremely qualified to replace her.

However, instead of the editorial spot, Gigi’s offer to Corina is an overseas celebrity reporting trip to cover an important movie premiere. This is not what Corina had in mind at all --- and that’s before she discovers it’s to the kingdom of Brighton. The last time she was in Brighton, she was grieving the loss of her twin brother. And that was the same moment that she lost her fairy-tale relationship. Brighton is definitely the last place on earth she’d like to go.

But Corina discovers that the editor position has been filled, and the plans are made for her to attend the premiere, a Braveheart-esque drama about an early king of Brighton. She is still against the idea. But God begins to lead her heart in a direction she never thought she’d go. Is there a chance to resurrect her marriage after all?

On the other side of the ocean, Prince Stephen of Brighton is having his own struggles. The press has hailed him as one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, and while he’s of devoted interest to women, he’s avoiding them as well. After a devastating loss in Afghanistan (not to mention his own personal life), Stephen has devoted himself to rugby, playing for the national team. He’s a skilled player, a star not only due to his royal status but because he’s an integral part of the team’s success. And playing regular rugby has enabled him to avoid a couple of things that he’s not ready, or willing, to face. One of them is his coronation. The other is service to Brighton’s veterans, for whom he feels unworthy to care. And then there’s that other, even more personal thing that he’s happy to forget.

Yet an ankle injury has sidelined him for longer than he’d like. The healing is slow to come. And the more time he has off the field, the more time he has to think about his losses. Not good.

One day, Stephen’s brother, King Nathaniel, stops by his home with an official-looking document. To Stephen’s utter shock, it is Corina’s and his marriage certificate. The former archbishop, who had married them in secret before Stephen headed off to Afghanistan, had promised to keep it hidden. And he had. But then there was a changing of the church guard, so to speak, and a new archbishop was confirmed. And the certificate, tucked away for five long years, has now resurfaced. To say that Nathaniel is blindsided is an understatement. Stephen has hidden a marriage from the world, and from the royal family in particular.

The meeting the two never expected is about to happen. Corina is headed to Cathedral City to headline the premiere and interview its biggest star, the male lead. Stephen must confront his bride and ask for an annulment. But God has different plans in mind, and as He speaks to Corina’s heart, she’s asked to do something she’s never expected to do. Is there hope for Corina’s and Stephen’s happily-ever-after….and will she indeed catch her prince?

Rachel Hauck takes the wishes of every little girl and turns them into lovely reads about grown-up women, their own dreams, and the beauty and mystique of royal life…and how the God who loves us works in unexpected and often unseen ways. HOW TO CATCH A PRINCE, the third book in Hauck’s The Royal Wedding Series, is a wonderful stand-alone read. But I imagine that you’ll find Corina and Stephen’s story so captivating that you’ll want to read the other two as well.
