After her father’s death, Caroline Taylor has grown confident running the Windmill Point Lighthouse. But she knows it’s only a matter of time before a new keeper is appointed --- even though she has nowhere else to go.

All too soon, Civil War veteran Ryan Chambers arrives. Still haunted by the horrors of battle, he’s secured the position mostly for the isolation. He’s not expecting the current keeper to be a feisty, beautiful woman who’s angry with him for taking her job. Before long, it becomes clear that Ryan is in no shape to run the lighthouse.
