We said our sweet goodbyes to last year with the very real news that we were moving newsletter platforms for 2017. We ushered in the new year with cheers, claps and too much champagne. So, while we started from the bottom, we’re here now --- a new year, a new newsletter format, same old us. Don’t be thrown off by our new look; our #brand and interests haven’t changed a bit. How does the old saying go? Don’t judge a newsletter by its interface? Just like you can count on Kim K.’s return to social media, you can count on us to bring you the latest and greatest in book and pop culture news every other week. But now, we're mobile friendly!

In Kristen Orlando’s breakout new novel, YOU DON’T KNOW MY NAME, she takes the word “undercover” to a whole new level. Based an idea she thought of while in the shower, Kristen Orlando writes about a girl who is the daughter of two CIA agents. Fantastic writing and a buzzing sensation to find out what's next keeps this book going at a quick pace and doesn't let you set it down until it's over. This is a book you will not regret reading. I first was introduced to author Romina Russell when I was at Barnes & Noble with my friends. She was doing a book signing for the second book in her Zodiac series when we happened to be there. All three books in her Zodiac series --- ZODIAC, WANDERING STAR and now BLACK MOON --- take place in a galaxy that contains 12 Houses represented by the 12 signs of the zodiac. To highlight this astrological theme, she not only autographed our books, but also gave us these special bookmarks with each of our astrological signs on them. Read More

Sometimes love is right under your nose. As one of only two aromateurs left on the planet, sixteen-year-old Mimosa knows what her future holds: a lifetime of weeding, mixing love elixirs, and matchmaking --- all while remaining incurably alone. For Mim, the rules are clear: falling in love would render her nose useless, taking away her one great talent. Still, Mimosa doesn’t want to spend her life elbow-deep in soil and begonias. She dreams of a normal high school experience with friends, sports practices, debate club, and even a boyfriend. But when she accidentally gives an elixir to the wrong woman and has to rely on the lovesick woman’s son, the school soccer star, to help fix the situation, Mim quickly begins to realize that falling in love isn’t always a choice you can make.
