On July 13, 2013, during ThrillerFest VIII, the International Thriller Writers (ITW) announced the winners of the 2013 Thriller Awards at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.

Barry Awards 2013

Named in honor of mystery fiction reviewer and Deadly Pleasures contributor Barry Gardner, the winners of the Barry Awards are selected each year by the magazine’s subscribers and online visitors. This year's winners will be announced on September 19, 2013 at the Opening Ceremonies of Bouchercon 2013 in Albany, New York.

Books for a Better Life Awards 2012

Since its inception in 1996, Books for a Better Life has recognized more than 650 self-improvement authors and has raised $2 million for the New York City - Southern New York Chapter’s comprehensive support services and educational programs for people living with MS, their friends and families. The Awards recognize self-improvement authors whose messages are aligned with the chapter’s mission of inspiring people to live their best lives.

The Audie Awards 2013

The Audie Awards (The Audies®) is the only awards program in the U.S.A. devoted solely to spoken word entertainment. They are annually bestowed upon recipients for outstanding audio books. The Audies have been granted by the Audio Publisher Association, a not-for-profit trade organization since 1996.

Los Angeles Times Book Prizes 2012

The 2012 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes were presented on Friday, April 19, 2013, in a public ceremony in the Bovard Auditorium on the campus of USC.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Award 2013

The Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, established in 1954, honors an author or illustrator whose books are published in the U.S. and have, over a period of years, made a substantial and lasting contribution to literature for children. The award is named in honor of Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the popular Little House series of books, which later became the basis for a television series. Wilder's first book, LITTLE HOUSE IN THE BIG WOODS (1932), was published when she was 65, and she received the first award in 1954.

Stonewall Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award 2013

The Stonewall Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award is given annually to English-language children’s and young adult books of exceptional merit relating to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered experience.

-The winner of the Stonewall Children's and Young Adult Literature Award is ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE by Benjamin Alire Saenz.

The Mildred L. Batchelder Award 2013

The Mildred L. Batchelder Award is a citation awarded to an American publisher for a children's book considered to be the most outstanding of those books originally published in a language other than English in a country other than the United States, and subsequently translated into English and published in the United States.

The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award 2013

The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award is presented annually to both the author(s) and illustrator(s) of an outstanding book for beginning readers published in the past calendar year. The winning author(s) and illustrator(s) must demonstrate great creativity to engage children in reading. The first Theodor Seuss Geisel Award was presented in 2006 to author Cynthia Rylant and illustrator Suçie Stevenson for HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE GREAT GRANDPAS.

Randolph Caldecott Medal 2013

The Randolph Caldecott Medal honors the illustrator of the year's most distinguished American picture book for children. Presented every year since 1938, the medal is named for Randolph Caldecott, a 19th-century English illustrator known for the action, vitality and humor of his picture books. Receiving the Caldecott Medal virtually guarantees that the winning book will remain in print and on library and bookstore shelves for years to come.
