All high school students dream of unlocking the mysteries of the opposite gender --- they want to know how to get their crushes to go out with them. After years of thought and analysis, high school senior Shane Chambliss finally came up with a formula to solve this problem --- the “galgorithm.” For a few months, Shane has been helping countless peers finally find girlfriends. At first, Shane succeeds as the local dating expert, but when his business is revealed, everything comes crumbling down. To add to this mess, Shane has some "girl problems" of his own to figure out.
It was really refreshing to see high school written about in such an innocent yet intricate light.
Author Aaron Karo dove into the minds of high school boys (and teachers), added a twist of humor and produced GALGORITHM, a novel which encompasses everything that is high school. I absolutely loved reading about Shane's tips and tricks for his friends, but my favorite part of the book was reading about the way that the students handled complex and confusing social situations. It was really refreshing to see high school written about in such an innocent yet intricate light. I highly suggest this book to any high school student, especially one struggling with the social scene at his or her school.
