Susan L. Roth was born in New York City. She earned her B.A. and M.A. at Mills College. She is the author and illustrator of 40 books. She was the illustrator and co-author of PARROTS OVER PUERTO RICO which won the 2014 ALA Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Medal.
