Sue Macy grew up in a New Jersey suburb just 25 minutes away from midtown Manhattan, and she attended Princeton University for her undergraduate education. She went on to work at Scholastic for 16 years, working on children's textbooks and magazines which lead to the publication of her first book in 1993, A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME. She spent 6 years on the board of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League Players  Association, and she continues to write books for children and in general, people young and old.
