Simone Shin is a graduate of Boston University and Art Center College of Design. In 2007, she began working freelance in illustration and in-house as a graphic designer for Forever 21 Apparel. Currently, she teaches at a private art school, and continues to work in the fine arts, editorial and (her latest endeavour and passion) children's book illustration. She is a Gold Medal Winner in Uncommissioned Illustration from the Society of Illustrators, NY, and currently lives in the SF Bay Area with her husband and son.
