Sidney Poitier is an Academy Award–winning actor, a film director, a author, and a diplomat. He is the author of three bestselling autobiographical books: THIS LIFE, THE MEASURE OF A MAN: A Spiritual Autobiography, and LIFE BEYOND MEASURE: Letters to My Great-Granddaughter. Born in Miami, Florida, Poitier was raised in the Bahamas and currently lives in Beverly Hills, California, with his wife of more than four decades, Joanna Shimkus Poitier.
