Sarah Lariviere grew up in Champaign, Illinois. She graduated from Oberlin College and has a master’s degree in social work from Hunter College in New York City, where she specialized in casework with children and families. She wrote THE BAD KID  in Paris, France and Austin, Texas. She now lives in San Francisco, California, with her family.

 

Sarah loves to work in different genres. Handmade poetry books, wild permaculture gardens, experimental films, long walks in the forest and scribbly ink drawings fill her days. Cooking dinner with new herbs and spices always brightens her mood, and she loves spending time with her children, husband and friends.
