Sam Bosma was born in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, but lived most of their life in suburban Pennsylvania. They relocated to Baltimore, Maryland to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art, where they subsequently taught in the Illustration department from 2011 to 2013. They currently live and work in Los Angeles with their wife, Kali Ciesemier.
