Ronald A. Reis
Biography
Ronald A. Reis
Ron Reis is the author of 26 non-fiction books, most of which are for kids and young adults. His publishing career began by writing college textbooks on electronics for New Jersey-based Prentice Hall.
Ron then moved on to books about careers, one for the Adams Media Group (Holbrook, Massachusetts) andanother for Barron's (Hauppauge, New York). After finding his groove (so to speak), he wrote 16 Young Adult (YA) non-fiction books for Chelsea House (New York), on subjects as varied as the biography of Buffalo Bill Cody and the Empire State Building.
Ron now writes for the Chicago Review Press (CRP), a midsize, independent publisher, with over 900 books available. Ron's first book with CRP was the well-reviewed CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS AND THE AGE OF EXPLORATION FOR KIDS, with 21 Activities. His next book, to be published in November, will be THE US CONGRESS FOR KIDS: Over 200 Years of Lawmaking, Deal-Breaking, and Compromising, with 21 Activities. Both books are part of a long, on-going, and award-wining series of activity books published by CRP.
Ron Reis served as a teacher and the Technology Department Chair at Los Angeles Valley College for almost three decades before retiring in June of 2013.
