Raised in Houston, Rafi Mittlefehldt worked briefly as a reporter for a small-town newspaper in Central Texas, where he once wrote a story about a local woman's impressive frog figurine collection.

 

He now works in book publishing and volunteers for I'm From Driftwood, a non-profit that collects and posts LGBTQ stories from around the world. He lives in Brooklyn with his husband Damien and dog Betty. IT LOOKS LIKE THIS is his first novel.
