Maureen Gibbon

Maureen Gibbon is the author of the novels Swimming Sweet Arrow and Thief, and the poetry collection Magdalena.  Her third novel, Paris Red, will be published by W. W. Norton and Christian Bourgois, Éditeur.
 
A graduate of Barnard College and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Gibbon was awarded a Bush Foundation Artist Fellowship in 2001, and Loft McKnight Artists Fellowships in 1992 and 1999.  In 2006, she received a Mill Foundation Artist Residency at the Santa Fe Arts Institute.
 
Her novels have been translated into German and Norwegian; an Italian translation of Thief is forthcoming from Bompiani.  Gibbon's work has also been published in the U. K. and Australia. 
 
Gibbon's fiction and nonfiction have appeared in The New York Times, The Daily Mail, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Playboy, Psychologies, Water~Stone Review, and on nerve, Byliner, and The Huffington Post.
