Lisa Rowe Fraustino, assistant professor of English, is the author of THE HICKORY CHAIR, a picture book; GRASS AND SKY, a Junior Library Guild selection, and ASH, a 1995 ALA Best Book for Young Adults. Fraustino is also editor of DIRTY LAUNDRY, an anthology of literary short stories by prominent and emerging young adult authors. Her column, "Dr. Lisa's Class," appears in Once Upon a Time and she has taught creative writing and children's literature at numerous institutions.
