Laura Chapman is an illustrator currently living in Liverpool, England. She graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2008 with a first class degree in Graphic Arts. She likes to weave intricate patterns into her work and is obsessed with pattern and color. She also has a passion for typography and is constantly doodling ideas for new letter forms. She is particularly interested in traditional decorative display fonts (e.g. Victorian and Art Nouveau), and how she can give them a more contemporary feel by injecting my own illustrative style.

She works in number of creative areas and how illustration can work across them, such as designing tattoo’s, wallpaper patterns, illustrations to go on to clothing garments, as well as more traditional areas such as book covers, CD covers, editorial and advertising.
