Laura A. Woollett
Laura A. Woollett grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut where she devoured books by L.M. Montgomery, Beverly Cleary, and R.L. Stein. She is a full-time editor of literacy curriculum for children in grades K-12 and holds an M.A. in Children's Literature from Simmons College. It was at Simmons that she wrote the first draft of what became her first book for middle-grade readers, Big Top Burning: The True Story of an Arsonist, a Missing Girl, and The Greatest Show On Earth, a nonfiction account of the 1944 Hartford circus fire (Chicago Review Press, June 2015). Laura currently lives in Massachusetts with her family.
