Karen Mack is a bestselling novelist and award-winning television producer.

Her first novel, LITERACY AND LONGING IN LA was on the LA Times Bestseller List for fifteen weeks reaching #1 and was awarded the 2006 Best Fiction Award from the Southern California Bookseller’s Association. Her second novel, A VERSION OF THE TRUTH, also reached the LA Times Bestseller list.

In 2010 and 2011, she co-wrote (with Jennifer Kaufman) a regular column about books for the LA Times Magazine entitled The Lonely Hearts Book Club.

Karen has produced many film and television productions including the Golden Globe, Christopher, and Emmy Award winning “One Against the Wind,” a Hallmark Hall of Fame Presentation.

For the past 14 years, she has been Executive Producer of “A Home for the Holidays,” an annual CBS Network Special which promotes foster care adoption. “A Home for the Holidays” won the 2008 Television Academy Honors, an award given out by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Karen is a cum laude graduate of UCLA with a B.A. in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
