HUW POWELL is the author of Spacejackers, an exciting new book series about space pirates published by Bloomsbury and WF Howes. He was born in Bristol, United Kingdom, in August 1976 during the hottest summer on record. Huw grew up in the village of Pill, North Somerset, where he wrote his first stories for friends and family. He now lives in Portishead with his wife and 2 energetic sons. Huw is an active supporter of initiatives that encourage children to read. He regularly speaks at schools, libraries and festivals. When he's not sat in front of his computer, Huw enjoys watching films and spending time with his family. He never does up the top button on his shirt and he always wears 2 pairs of socks.
