Ellen Fischer
Ellen Fischer was born in St. Louis, Missouri, not blue and furry like Grover and not quite as cute and loveable. He went on to Sesame Street and she went on to Washington University. She spent twenty years teaching children with special needs, then ESL (English as a Second Language) at a local Jewish Day School.
Ellen finds writing for children challenging but fun. "Seeing an idea come to life as a story is exciting, and making readers laugh and smile--even better."
She and her husband live in Greensboro, North Carolina. They have three wonderful children who grew up loving Sesame Street.
