Eileen Davidson
Eileen Davidson is known to millions of television viewers as Ashley Abbott on the number one rated daytime drama “The Young and the Restless” where she originated the role in 1982. She left Y and R to pursue other interests, (below) and then returned to Y and R in 1999 and received her second Emmy nomination. In 2006 she was fired only to be asked to play Ashley Abbott on “The Bold and the Beautiful”. In 2007 she was asked back to Y and R and remains there today.
She made television history by portraying five characters simultaneously on “Days of our Lives” where she received her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress.
Her feature film credits include “Eternity”’ opposite Jon Voight and Armande Asssante, “Easy Wheels” with Paul Le Mat and the horror film cult favorite “House on Sorority Row”.
Her primetime credits include Stephen Cannell’s series “Broken Badges” opposite Ernie Hudson and Miguel Ferrer and the T.V. film “Sharing Richard” and various other guest starring roles.
Eileen is also the spokesperson for the “Nubrilliance” micro dermabrasion system and has also been the spokesperson for the renowned skincare product Prevage from Elizabeth Arden and Allergan.
She wrote her first Penguin paperback Death in Daytime which debuted in November of 2008. Her second novel Dial Emmy for Murder released on June 2, 2009 and her third novel Diva Las Vegas hits stores in July 2010.
She has graced the covers and pages of many magazines such as TV Guide, Allure, Good Housekeeping, Andy Warhol’s “Interview”, “Playgirl”, “InStyle” and countless “Soap Opera Digest” covers, and has been chosen as one of television’s most beautiful women several times.
In her spare time Eileen enjoys painting, playing piano, and surfing.
She is married to Vincent Van Patten, host of The World Poker Tour and is a mother to 6-year-old Jesse and step mom to 16-year-old Duke and 14-year-old “Flea”.
