Demi is the award-winning illustrator of more than 130 books for children, including The Nightingale, The Empty Pot, and Grass Sandals: the Travels of Basho, a Riverbank Review Children's Book of Distinction and in IRA Notable Book for a Global Society. Her gold-leaf paintings and mosaics appear not only in books, but also in the dome of St. Peter and Paul's Church in Wilmington, California. Demi lives with her husband in Carnation, Washington.
