Craig Orback is a freelance children’s book illustrator living near Seattle. He grew up in los Osos on the Central Coast of California. His college career began at Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, California where he received an A.A. degree in 2D Design. In 1994 he moved to Seattle to attend Cornish College of the Arts. Craig graduated with a B.F.A. degree in illustration in 1998.

Craig works in oil on illustration board and also uses acrylic, watercolor, gouache, pastel, pen and ink, and the computer, sometimes all for one book, as he did for the picture book “NATURE’S PAINTBOX: A SEASONAL GALLERY OF ART AND VERSE.
