Caroline Paul grew up in New England, with an identical twin, a younger brother, and a menagerie of animals. She graduated from Stanford University, where she studied Communications. She has been part of the San Francisco Writers Grotto since 1999. She is also constantly inspired by her kickass siblings: her identical twin is the accomplished actress Alexandra Paul and her brother is the righteous animal rights activist Jonathan Paul. In her free time, she flies an experimental plane. She read books. She goes to movies. She surfs (badly.) Much of this is done around San Francisco, where she lives with her partner, the artist Wendy MacNaughton, two shelter cats, one shelter dog, an array of solar panels, and countless unread back issues of the New Yorker.
