Caroline Carlson
Caroline Carlson writes books for kids (and other people, too). She is the author of the middle grade fantasy series The Very Nearly Honorable League of Pirates, and the first book in the series, MAGIC MARKS THE SPOT, comes out in September 2013. When she's not writing or reading, she's probably taking walks in the woods, trying to grow plants without killing them, or baking cookies.
She earned her MFA in writing for children from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and she is the children’s fiction editor at the lit journal Hunger Mountain. She grew up in New England, but now she lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and many, many books.
