Tease

What do you do when you’re on trial for bullying?

Sara definitely wasn’t thinking her summer before senior year was going to be filled with summer school, lawyers and a case against for bullying. Emma Putnam is dead and apparently it’s her and her best friend’s fault, along with a few others.

"This is a story that everyone should read --- not just teens, but anyone who can get their hands on it."

Now, because of all the bullying she is dealing with, the lawyers and court-mandated therapy sessions, Sara is forced to relive her junior year with Emma Putnam and question herself. Did she cause Emma’s decision to commit suicide? Or did Emma do it all to herself, dragging Sara down with her?

A daring and provocative debut, TEASE is an amazing book. It captures you from the first word and refuses to let go. Amanda Maciel creates a story that enraptures and has you hooked to everything Sara and Emma do and their reactions. It is indeed a very emotional, heart-breaking and serious book that might just hit home. It’s a rich, top-notch, unique story that has quickly become one of my favorite books of 2014 so far.

TEASE is a fictional coming-of-age story that gives us an inside peek into a bully’s thoughts and how, at times, they might not even realize they are bullying. This is a story that everyone should read --- not just teens, but anyone who can get their hands on it. Readers will close the back cover, take a deep breath and maybe even pull the front cover open once again.
