Milla used to ride snowboards professionally for the Brits and encountered many athletes like herself. Some she thought of as friends, others as mere rivals, and still others as potential adversaries. There were several in her inner circle with whom she interacted on a regular basis.
However, when one of her close competitors, Saskia, disappeared without a trace in the middle of a competition, Milla decided to walk away from the sport. She intended to leave the past behind her and cut ties with her fellow athletes.
"SHIVER is a genuine page-turner that will keep you guessing until the very end."
Milla was convinced she had done just that. Ten years later, though, she receives an email invitation to attend a weekend reunion with her friends at Le Rocher, the ski resort in the French Alps where she used to train and compete. She thinks she will have a fun time with her old pals, but this impromptu gathering turns out to be a nightmare.
Someone has lured them to the resort under false pretenses and is messing with them --- turning off the electricity, entering their rooms when they’re not around, and leaving bizarre messages. When a member of the group goes missing, Milla and the others have a lot of questions that need answers: Who is responsible for all of this, and why are they being targeted in such a creepy and sinister manner? Is it someone they know or a complete stranger? What will happen next?
Allie Reynolds’ debut novel is full of suspense and a multitude of plot twists. As the story unfolds, readers learn more about each character and their possible role in Saskia’s disappearance --- and how it all relates to this new drama. SHIVER is a genuine page-turner that will keep you guessing until the very end.
