Ms. Reading once again turns in a thoroughly polished performance
as she relates this latest case of Dr. Kay Scarpetta, Chief Medical
Examiner of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Reading's nuanced
narration, both precise and emotional, is helped by the fact that
this is one of the better Scarpetta stories in years. Cornwell
gives us a detailed yet fast-paced story, and even throws in one
major character shakeup. The team of Cornwell and Reading deliver
an all around solid and enjoyable audio
experience.
