Murder List
Review
Murder List
Have you ever had anyone in your life who drove you to the point of
fantasizing about his or her death? Have you ever wished someone
would simply disappear? Have you ever gone so far as to make a
murder list of those who you'd eliminate if only you could?
While businesswoman Regan Hamilton Madison wouldn't actually wish
anyone dead, she did compose a murder list as part of a seminar
exercise. The list is meant to be burnt in a symbolic act of
freeing herself from those whose names are listed. However, Regan's
list survives and falls into the hands of someone who is only too
glad to carry out her wishes.
While the murder list is an exercise that Regan does and promptly
forgets, she can't ignore its existence once emails start arriving
with photographs of those who have already been killed in
compliance with her wishes.
Enter police detective Alec Buchanan. Alec has given his notice to
the Chicago PD and is ready to make a hasty exit to join the FBI.
However, he has one final assignment --- to protect sexy hotel
heiress Regan. While Regan is initially reluctant to have a
bodyguard, the killer's relentless pursuit of her and Alec's
physical and personal magnetism soon change her mind.
The last thing Alec wants is to be attracted to Regan and the last
thing Regan wants is to have her heart broken by a man who's
leaving town. However, the heart rarely listens to the head and
Alec and Regan find themselves drawn to each other. Meanwhile, more
people are dying and it's imperative to get to the bottom of the
mystery sooner rather than later.
MURDER LIST is a fast-moving novel with likeable characters,
page-turning mystery and a climactic ending. While you'll enjoy the
romance between Regan and Alec, you'll also find yourself
double-checking your doors and windows when you're done
reading.
