Winter Reading 2020

At Bookreporter.com, we kicked off 2020 with our sixth annual Winter Reading Contests and Feature. We hosted a series of 24-hour contests spotlighting a book releasing this winter (or a recently published title that we would like to get into your hands now) and gave five lucky readers a chance to win it.

Even though our contests have wrapped up, we encourage you to take a look at this year's featured titles, as these are the books you'll want to read during the winter months --- and into the warmer ones!

Week of September 16, 2019

Paperback releases for the week of September 16th include WINTER IN PARADISE, the opening installment in Elin Hilderbrand’s Paradise series, which is set in the Caribbean on the stunning beaches of St. John; Maxwell King's THE GOOD NEIGHBOR, the first full-length biography of children’s television pioneer and American cultural icon Fred Rogers, which traces his personal, professional and artistic life through decades of work; Paula Daly's OPEN YOUR EYES, a psychological thriller that follows a bestselling crime novelist’s tragic turn from fictional perpetrator into real-life victim; and CONVENIENCE STORE WOMAN by Sayaka Murata, the incomparable story of Keiko Furukura, a 36-year-old Tokyo resident who has been working at the Hiiromachi “Smile Mart” for the past 18 years --- but those close to her pressure her to find a husband and a proper career, prompting her to take desperate action.
