How to Meet Cute Boys

Benjamina Franklin is a writer at Filly magazine where she
doles out dating advice to readers. While she crafts a column with
sage tips, her own dating world is anything but perfect.

HOW TO MEET CUTE BOYS tells the story of Ben and her new young beau
Max, who owns his own clothing company. The two hit it off after
meeting at a party. But no road is a smooth one, and Ben hits the
potholes of insecurity and doubt that most women have probably
crossed in life and love. Ben has a problem with Max's age, so she
is convinced that he cannot be "the one."

After meeting Max, Ben realizes she wants more. However, she won't
allow herself to pin her hopes on Max for a committed relationship.
Further conflict arises when her younger sister becomes engaged,
and Ben realizes she is envious of her sister's life. Then Ben's
best friend and editor Kiki begins a serious relationship. Ben
feels left out and her jealousy grows. Ben's mother even dates more
than Ben does. However, Ben is not foaming at the mouth to take her
mother's advice on matters of the heart. After all, she has been
unsuccessfully married more than once. Matters become even worse
for Ben when her mother begins writing her own advice column for
Filly.

HOW TO MEET CUTE BOYS is laugh-out-loud funny. The characters are
well developed enough and spark empathy from the readers. Deanna
Kizis has her finger on the pulse of the world of fashion,
magazines and relationships of the heart. It should be noted that
Kizis is the West Coast editor of Elle magazine.
