Agents of the Apocalypse: A Riveting Look at the Key Players of the End Times
Dr. David Jeremiah is the senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, CA, and is the founder and host of “Turning Point” (one of the world’s largest syndicated Bible teaching ministries). As the author of more than 50 books, Jeremiah’s commitment to passing on the unchanging message found in the Bible continues to press him to keep writing, teaching and speaking. With his love for the Word of God, he shares that although he has already written on end times and prophecy, this newest work is quite different from his previous efforts.
"Whether it is politics, religion, economics or social issues, men and women today are struggling to remain hopeful. Jeremiah’s work will offer such individuals solid hope and a firm foundation for standing strong despite opposition to their beliefs."
Unlike most texts published on the subject of prophetic happenings, Jeremiah has composed AGENTS OF THE APOCALYPSE in a novel manner. He takes the key players of end times as written about in the book of Revelation, and offers even the most novice student of prophecy a simple way of understanding the predictions and prophecies found throughout Scripture. He spends each of his 10 chapters discussing, in turn, the exile, the martyrs, the 144,000, the two witnesses, the dragon, the beast from the sea, the beast from the earth, the victor, the king and the judge. Drawing specifically from Revelation, Jeremiah opens each chapter with a fictional account of how each of these prophecies will play out. The stories he composes stay entirely faithful to what has been written in the Bible. He just builds characters and a vivid storyline around each prophecy to aid readers in mentally visualizing how the prophecy could affect them or their loved ones.
Following each fictional account, Jeremiah explains in great detail (and using generous amounts of Scripture verses) to unpack his stories according to what has been written in Revelation. Dissecting each main character and event, readers will gain a much better understanding of the often confusing symbolism and word play that leave most laypersons utterly frustrated in trying to figure out what’s what in the end times scenarios.
One of the main reasons Jeremiah decided to pen AGENTS OF THE APOCALYPSE was that he has taken note that so many people feel discouraged and disheartened by the state of today’s world. Whether it is politics, religion, economics or social issues, men and women today are struggling to remain hopeful. Jeremiah’s work will offer such individuals solid hope and a firm foundation for standing strong despite opposition to their beliefs. Not only will Christ followers gain a clearer picture of what is to come, they will find themselves looking forward hopefully to the next world when a new Earth and a new life are ushered in by Christ.
All in all, times are tough, says Jeremiah, but God’s promises are such that all Christians can rest easy knowing the final result after the last battle has been waged, and Christ rules eternally.
