A GIFT FOR MY SISTER is a fast paced, riveting page turner that poses the larger questions of where did I come from, how did I become me, and how do we form a family? It’s a tale told by two fatherless daughters struggling with family curses, eccentric luck, and the complicated multiculturalism that is hallmark of our era.

Tara and Sky, first introduced to readers in Pearlman’s highly successful THE CHRISTMAS COOKIE CLUB, are disconnected sisters. Sky, obedient and cautious, has planned and achieved the traditional dream: she is happily married, has a young daughter, lives in a condo on a beach, and has her dream job. Rebellious and impetuous Tara, who got pregnant in high school, has a blossoming music career with Aaron, the man she fell in love with when he was just out of juvenile prison.
