Chelsea Enright inherits a lakeside cottage from her beloved Gram, which puzzles her since her grandmother never talked much about it. She considers just selling it, but first she must visit it at least once. Gram’s will requires it. Then if she still wants to get rid of it, she will have Gram’s blessing. One thing that could change her mind, though, is the neighboring cabin’s owner, Brandon Yale.

"MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY crosses genres and combines romance with mystery while managing to avoid becoming sappy or overly sentimental."

About the Book

From the author of IF WISHES WERE HORSES comes a novel of long-buried secrets and self-discovery, showing us that sometimes what goes unsaid is more powerful than words...

Chelsea Enright never expected to inherit her grandmother's lakeside cottage deep in the Adirondacks --- a serene getaway that had been mysteriously closed up decades ago. This is no simple bequest, however, because when Chelsea finds her grandmother's WWII diaries, she's stunned to discover that they hold secrets she never suspected...and they have the power to turn her own life upside down.

Even more surprising is the compelling presence of local doctor Brandon "Yale, and Chelsea soon finds her "short stay" has stretched into the entire summer. She cannot put this cottage and her family's past behind her easily --- and the more she learns about the woman her grandmother truly was, the more Chelsea's own life begins to change...and nothing will ever be the same again.

CELL 8 may well be one of the best thrillers you will ever read, whether you are a fan of Nordic noir or not. Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström have created a damaged, rumpled protagonist in the personage of Ewert Grens, a deputy superintendent with the Stockholm police. Grens is possessed of an almost perpetual scowl. Filled to the brim with impatience, prone to anger, on the wrong end of middle age and dumpy to boot, he is infused with a canny instinct and a dedication to his own moral compass. Read More

About the Book

Detective Superintendent Ewert Grens of THREE SECONDS returns in a riveting mystery that centers on perhaps the most controversial subject in the modern criminal justice system: the death penalty.

In Ohio, 17-year-old John Meyer Frey rots on Death Row for the brutal murder of his girlfriend. The victim's father hungers for revenge, while a prison guard is torn by compassion for the young man. When Frey unexpectedly dies of heart disease before he either receives his just punishment or achieves redemption, the wheels of justice grind to a halt.

Six years later, on a ferry between Finland and Sweden, a singer named John Schwarz viciously attacks a drunken lout harassing a woman, leaving the man in a coma. The Stockholm police arrest Schwarz for aggravated assault, but when Grens learns that the assailant has been living in Sweden under a false identity, he begins to suspect that something darker and more complex underlies the incident. Following his intuition, Grens launches an investigation that spans from Sweden to the United States and reveals a startling connection between the Frey and Schwarz cases.
