Our picture book roundup this month includes OUT OF THE WOODS by Rebecca Bond, a true story about animals and humans forced together by a devastating forest fire; SEEN AND NOT HEARD by Katie May Green, an imaginative book where dainty pictures of children come to life every night; and LILLIAN’S RIGHT TO VOTE written by Jonah Winter and illustrated by Shane W. Evans, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 with one African American woman’s tales about family and suffrage.
