The Stonewall Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award is given annually to English-language children’s and young adult books of exceptional merit relating to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered experience.

- The winners of the Stonewall Children’s and Young Adult Literature Award is BEAUTIFUL MUSIC FOR UGLY CHILDREN by Kirstin Cronn-Mills; and FAT ANGIE by e. E. Charlton-Trujillo.

- Three Honor Books were selected: BETTER NATE THAN EVER by Tim Federle; BRANDED BY THE PINK TRIANGLE by Ken Setterington; and TWO BOYS KISSING by David Levithan.
