Schneider Family Book Award 2012

The Schneider Family Book Award is donated by Dr. Katherine Schneider, and honors an author or illustrator for a book that embodies an artistic expression of the disability experience for child and adolescent audiences. Three annual awards are presented for the best Teen, Middle School and Children’s Book.

-The winners of the Schneider Family Middle School Book Award are CLOSE TO FAMOUS by Joan Bauer and WONDERSTRUCK by Brian Selznick.

-The winner of the Schneider Family Teen Book Award is THE RUNNING DREAM by Wendelin Van Draanen.

Please note: There was no Children's Book Award winner this year.
