John Marco is a painter, and the scenes he depicts in the saga of the Bronze Knight, Lukien, are breathtaking. His ability to furnish detail does nothing to hinder his ability to move the story, or to drop readers into the heat of battle on a grand scale. Multidimensional characters latch onto readers and the twists in the story stab at the heart. Lukien's take is heartbreaking, fascinating, and rewarding. Thankfully, Marco has a new volume in store for readers slated for release in late 2012.
